Title: 1983 Gold Quadangle
Post by: kungfunky on January 19, 2016, 08:57 PM
Seeing as it's been an absolute age since I last posted a bike on here I figured I'd get back up to speed.
 :daumenhoch:
This is a pretty special rare frame set as its one of only a couple of original finish gold Quadangles left. They were painted gold in late 82/early 83 and distributed, however the colour wasn't a popular choice and the majority got re finished.
I picked this up around 4 years ago and couldn't decide how to build it so into storage it went.
Finally though it's getting somewhere near how I want it with in restored parts.

Ash I do apologise .. When I saw this thread I thought it was your gold ripper thread.  :crazy2: :idiot2:
This is amazing ... It really looks good ... Together .. "wantit" what a pair of beauties... Amazing :4_17_5:

I love the black landing gears on the quad .. It really works.
If my black/gold quad turns out half as good I'd be really happy dude!

Love the shot of them both together.... Epic Rad picture   8) :smitten:

Thanks all  :4_17_5:  must admit after a a fair few months pondering what to build its good to be back at it  :LolLolLolLol:

Think I might change the grips on it though, the  Toadstools are very comfy but a little too early for this.

Thanks and I fully agree, too much gold doesn't look right as its a tough colour to match up. See too many bikes with miss matched gold and it doesn't quite work. Not easy to get it right.

Absolutely, that's exactly why so few are still out there it just wasn't a good colour for that time.

Missed this first time round. lovely build, and as said the black LG's work really well.

Excuse my ignorance, what's the stem on it?

The stem is a quirky one. RZ which was a French company that made a few stems and clamps, has a bit of an ESP look to it.
