Title: pontins 1983 andy ruffell ,mike pardon ?

im very new to the old skool scene but i was big on bmx in the eightys does anyone remember pontins holiday camp middleton tower morcambe with the bmx track and the freestyle ramps .andy ruffell and mike pardon were there are these guys still out there ?

i went there for years every easter holiday mikes on site and andy is still around

I think I was there in 83.....  did it rain all weekend that year?  If so, that was the year that I very nearly killed my riding buddy Dunc and Chris Young in the car on the way home..... :shocked:

yes that tabletop seemed massive then...... my god i dont believe it i was at that display watching in the crowd somewhere  thanks buddy brings back great memories

Mike is currently racing in the Midlands 30+ series, 20 inch and cruiser. He is still very quick and stylish.... a joy to watch.

i did a drop in of the 1/4 pipe down by the track and went straight over the bars and had sand inbedded all weekend.

is that pontins at morcambe still open ? if it is we should have a bmx reunion there thet would be great (the best laugh would be me trying to get air now i would probably break my neck)

No. it closed and its meant to be being pulled down.  All fences up to keep people out, or at least it was a year or so ago.
