Title: Aero Reflex - A sentimental one
Post by: brettypeeps on August 08, 2020, 12:19 AM
So some years ago I raised some money for my sister when she had Stage 4 Cancer so she could have a special summer with her Children.

At the end of last year Dan sold the Bike and at the time I did not have the money to buy it.  As fortune would have it I am now the owner of the bike.  I just need to swap the seat post as the original one fitted by Dan is now like a banana but other than that the Bike will remain as is.

I am proud to have another British bike in my collection.

Picture is one of Dans

Glad it ended up back with you Brett, it didn't get ridden once by me since it was built in 2016.

I'm glad this has ended up with your Brett, can't think of a better stable for it.  I came very close to pulling the trigger when Dan sold it as it was an amazing price. Lovely build Dan  :4_17_5:

I couldn't justify selling it for what it was actually truly worth, as the frame set was given to me, so basically I sold it for how much the parts were worth, even then if you add those up, it was still a good deal. I've just got no time/money/space for bikes anymore, I'm collecting more vinyl now and other 80's articles and doubt I'll do a ride again, so no need for any bikes.

Who also made MRD forks......  :coolsmiley:

The story goes something like the Reflex frames were made overseas and arrived without forks so the firm selling them had Rickman blast out loads of sets of forks for them to sell the units as a frameset.

Or something like that  :coolsmiley:
