Around 6 or 7 maybe more years ago there was a pair of white ally hubbed tuffs on the museum which were actually white and had the gold campy hubs properly fitted to them. i ummed and ahhed and ended up missing them, i have been kicking myself ever since!!! even now!!!
There are probably more i could think of but i can't forgive myself for missing them....
Anyone else got a similar story...?

Not exactly got away but a sign of the times at the time and practically given away.
Stopped riding in 1986 and a couple of mates got back into riding in 1993. I looked about and bought a skyway TA with ukia wheels dc1000s, pro neck stem, rental bars, kashi aero, hutch cranks and suntour bear traps for 10 pounds However, I didn't really get back into it and a mate got ran over by a bus, lol, he was OK but his bike was flattened and he asked about mine, I said he could have it for what I paid, lol, hind sight eh? :LolLolLolLol:

There are quite a few things I regret not picking up from the States when I had the chance but one that really stands out was a Cook Bros frame. It was just the frame and had a few minor issues (one of the adjusters was broken or missing) but was still a lovely frame and really reasonably priced. I was asking the seller some questions and even starting to think about what forks to match it up with when it sold! Thumbs down
