i agree they look good but reality is they brake you can replace a spoke but mags do look good :daumenhoch:
-
sandy actually had a back wheel but it snapped, hoffman rode the new graphites but they snapped at the second outing, tabron rode them twice also & didnt like them as they couldnt handle his modern style of riding...personally i love them but theres no chance of a comeback
-
i wouldnt trust them on the back but would run one up front as never seem to damage front wheels :daumenhoch:
-
"mags back in again" , When did they go out :-\ i must have been asleep for 5 mins :crazy2:

style never goes out of fashion
-
i remember riding with a tuff on the front and araya on the back, bitd !
but purely cos i was skint at the time and could even afford a matching set of wheels :(
personally you can't beat skyways for style ! they were invented for BMX and will always be the coolest wheels, :)

They never went out did they? I am slightley over 15 stn and I race on a set of 20 year old acorns, no sign of them breaking yet :daumenhoch:

mags or Skyways in particular are iconic for BMX :coolsmiley:
i mean even show your nan a pic of a bike with Skyways & she'll tell you its a BMX!
in the early/mid 90's it was fashionable to run a front mag on your dirt jumping bike & like we know everything comes back again every few years ;)

I ride with a tuff on the front. It took me a while to get used to the flex as it takes some of the power from you when you pump over the jumps but once i got over that it's fine :daumenhoch:

riding with mags is all about compromise
-
Correct!! Dosent mean I dont like alloy rims,
I love my brakes when using the alloy rims and on the mags the brakes have good days and bad days.
