Apparrently Skyway have found some lying in a corner that didn't make it to the painters. Frame with the forks.
Just been offered a set so of course I said yes.

I have to say Dordy's Orange StreetBeat is brilliant, however I'd have to go for something a little different because I wouldn't want to dilute what his means.

As far as i remember they made 4 or 5 chrome beats when it was first released, after the prtotype that Vander had, and i think they had the Ta sticker sets on em. Best thing to do is ask Maurice Meyer at www.mauricemeyer.net he'll be able to tell you the exact spec etc.

Mine should be on the way soon.
As it's 'raw' I've wondered about getting lugs welded on for 990s (seatstays, with a drilled seattube). Would that cause too much of an outrage?
Secondly, where's a good place to get some paint on the thing?

Post by: lloydieboy on October 15, 2005, 02:41 AM
Sorry, you can't knock a Streetbeat, I think they've had a hard time purely through being one of the last old school frames, when BMX was dying off in the 80's. Thatframe is pure old school and should be recognised as a top 80's frame set. Come on, it's the brain child of Vander and any old school fan should respect it for that alone!!!

And Neil Ruff and CC rode one. Cut it some slack. Top frame!!!

So it looks like there is going to be more Streetbeats about then  :(
