My mum just came across this pic in her loft, it was  taken the day I built my new GT Pro Performer. I can remember it well, summer 1984, my dad had been away in the US for 3 months working and he bought back all the bits in his suit case - you can imagine my face!!! Look at those lovely fresh DX's, alloy hub tuffs and everything else...not turned a wheel yet...

Excellent mate, bet everyone wishes they had pics of there pride and joy from bitd  :daumenhoch: you have to build a replica now  :)

I can't find any of me on me bike.  The only one I've seen was one DirtyVans had  :-\

Gotta love them memories. And yes, it's so much better when the bike you have now is the same one you had as a kid. Top stuff mate!  :daumenhoch:

Here I am with mine on xmas morning 1984. Me and my dad had just spent the morning building it up and then took it for a spin around the street and then to a local track. He had got it from Surrey BMX.
