Been a while since iv'e done one of these. I used to have 5-spoke skyway tuffs on this but the brakeing surface on those is beyond shit. I also had some other old parts on it. I had a 91 haro master frame with alot of the new stuff on it since the master had more modern geometry but I was more comfy and all on the F.S.T.(this frame) so I threw all the new stuff on it. I put some forks with a threadless steerer tube on it so I can run a gyro and a better stem. I also ordered a 23t sprocket and an ody 1-pc 10t driver for it. Remember in flat you ussually want a slightly offset gear ratio. I was gonna do 28-12 but my lockring got ****ed and albes had the 23t sprockets on sale so... Before you talk shit remember that I use this bike for flat and that some of the stuff is 20+ years old so if you wanna say somethin shitty, don't bother typing a response.

It was hot as hell in the garage, so I just brought in some tools and did it in the kitchen. LOL it rides great too, the 23-10 is so perfect for flatland, but sucks for goin places!

nice build mate
funnily enough, i just picked up an FST last night that had been built as a rider with a mix of old and new parts. rides real nice too. they are a good sized bike!
yours looks great. i like your style!
-
I like it, great geometry will suit any kind of riding.
-
i like it mate, it's one of the thing i've been thinking about, i love old school frames but equally love the new school parts,
i see you listed a mix of parts for the headset and you have fitted a 1 1/8 stem, are the forks 1 1/8 too!
could you take a close up pic and list the exact parts used to do it,
thank's
rob

cool :daumenhoch:

could you take a close up pic and list the exact parts used to do it,
use 1 1/8" forks, 1" cups, 2 sets of 1" headset balls (put them in the cups loose, you get almost 2 sets in each cup - not packed to tight though, as you will get a tight spot)
then use the rest of the top parts of the aheadset
hey haromaster, whats with the zip ties in the spokes?
-
great for riding, just put some similar forks on my haro, nice build :daumenhoch:

I had a bit of that action.
welded 990 mounts on the rear, fitted 1 1/8th forks, slicks, prolines dirty harry's, slams, primo walls, acs freecoaster etc, it was a good workhorse.
