I'm sure that's what Beard rides. I know where you can get one...and with Z rims...oh it'd be perrfick.

ask Beard, he'll know, and I'm sure it's allowed.

I'll include some skinny red tyres if you buy it. better for racing than the fat ones on it now.  :daumenhoch:

the rules for the bikes to race are as follows

Bikes must have 1" threaded head tube, caliper brakes (pitbull and center pull allowed) and 20" wheels. No Retro, Anniversary or replicas.
there is no age limit.

I've no idea why they aren't allowed, but probably because they are a replica of an old school bike rather than being a proper old school bike.

Personally, I can barely tell the difference between the originals and the replicas (then again, I was never a Raleigh buff).

But the organisers have to draw the line somewhere I suppose cos it would be quite easy to make a new school bike with a 1" headset and no brake lugs just to fit into OS rules (I've had people asking me whether it would be possible to make a dialled bikes frame like that, but I just tell them I think it would be against the spirit of the OS Series).

Everyone hates Burners... and now they don't want me racing one...  ;D ;D

No-one had a problem on Sunday... I think its more a case of.. "don't worry about him... he's only on a Burner.."

Better get this 1993 robinson amtrac built up.. MORE controversy...  :D :D :D :D
