Title: Reditch perhaps ?

Post by: jonpaul11 on November 28, 2005, 10:07 PM: I raced a Guisbrough a few times in the early 80's - it had a really long first straight - left handed 180 first turn - I think that's a good guess but I thought there were more trees around...

I think everytime I went there it rained - never seen it sunny before!

It was one of the more remote tracks in the NE... layout of the track looks right.

Going off the pics I've got at home, the redditch track was sort of cut in to the ground a bit more so you had banks/walls of earth on the sides of the track in places. Guisborough looks a possibility as the track did bend to the right from the start hill followed by a left hand berm, where Redditch was straighter followed by a right hander. I've got some diagrams of both tracks I drew for a talk a school, I'll post them up tonight.

Post by: KELLOGGS on June 27, 2006, 07:14 PM: Sorry mate definately not Redditch, no bombhole, I would say North East by the sound of the accent although the furthest north I got in the 80s was the immingham track so I may be wrong. Matthew Kelly working with kids, imagine that!!
