Title: OSS 2008 - Series
Post by: RATTY on January 12, 2008, 11:09 PM
This is the prospective plan for 2008, discuss.......

Currently we have a South series of the OSS which will run alongside as many regionals as we can.

I'm sure that Midlands and Scotland will be attempting to follow suit.

If we can agree terms with BCF who would be interested in the deciding round for all OS Summer Regional Series being held at Peterboro on 23rd and 24th August?

Peterborough track is a lot more OS friendly than Burnham so we should all make it round in 1 piece :LolLolLolLol:

One big day to take the title of British Champ Title but also a double points round to add to your scores to that date to decide your final ranking within your Region?

Afterwards (dont forget the next day is a Bank Holiday so we can all get sloshed :crazy2:) we will crown the 2008 British Champ and the Summer Series # 1's for the respective regions, a drunken awards ceremony to follow with Pole dancers and strippers  ::)

Can we have each Regions comments on this so that we can approach BCF and the Head Honchos asap :daumenhoch:

Sounds good, Ratty.  It'll be great to have the OS community joining in all the regionals.

40+ is my priority (don't wanna be accused of sandbagging the OS  ;) ),  but it'll be nice to have the option of racing 2 classes at some of the shorter/less demanding tracks.

As for Flem taking the 40+ Brits title, we all know that won't happen.  Flem is way too good (and too proud) to ride 40+, so I recon he'll race 19+ again.  He'll probably win the 40+ Euro and World titles though  :4_17_5:

Good plan all round.

Any idea how many rounds we're looking at?  Will try to make as many as I can but am away the first half of June (military-level holiday planning).

The regional races have not been announced yet Steve, There is a meeting of the region in early Feb when the dates are confirmed. I thgink it will be about 8 rounds at regional level with some Hersdern and MK races thrown in where we can :daumenhoch:

Does that mean you might loose your crown at Hersden this year than Zippy??

I'm as rusty as

Seem to recall a certain "Mr Rusty" turning out on a rusty steed and p***ing all over us at Hersden so is this a tease for what's to come Simon??  You must get more staff in that shop and get your a**e over to Broomfield to try out your local track sometime, that'll soon get you fit again!!  Humps

Luckily the shop closes on Sunday's now so my racing is now back on.

If your holding practice nights during the week we'll pop over when we close. Probably close a bit early so that we maximise our time at the track.  :LolLolLolLol:
