Im with Rob on this one .... but what do we know about whips, Right, 2Bob?

Good on ya for going all out with your frame but I cant help think of when skateboard wheels got so small that a company started making them with only one bearing  :crazy2: They looked like they had got one skate wheel bearing and dipped in it rubber.... a real thin dip in rubber!

Fair enough!  I know a damn sight less than you Alex, that's for sure  :D      That said, I think I'm gonna add them to my list next year.....

But the thing is, I remember (as you do) bars getting so stupidly narrow so as to help barspins. now we see bikes getting stupidly low to help whips and such. The sad thing being that there really is now virtually no difference between BMX and trials bikes in that respect, as you pic so tellingly shows.

For me also, possibly the best looking whip I've seen is Hoffmans no footer whip on Ride On. And you know that bike had a seatpost a mile long, weighed 40 lbs and probably had that lazy old head angle of the early Condors.....    Didn't stop him though  :4_17_5:

Post by: dialledbikes on May 10, 2008, 09:21 PM
Nice looking bike spoiled only by the seat height/angle.

It might be nice to ride that way, but for photos I reckon you should show it with a bit of post sticking out and the seat angled upwards for that classic BMX stance.

I'm sure its a great bike to ride, I'm sure it has good quality parts, and it looks good...I'd be the first to admit I dont really know what I'm looking at when I look at a lot of new school bikes...

But shallow as it may seem its just too black for me.

Ray.

I also rode this last night and it is stupidly light... I think I've got some pegs that weigh the same amount.
I was a bit scared to have a proper go as it was too light, but i think that was only because it was my first go. it would be amazing to ride once i got used to it's weight. i tried to bunnyhop it and it practically took off.
i could honestly say you could walk around with it over your shoulder and not tire yourself out carrying it.

Post by: dibly on May 11, 2008, 12:44 PM
This frame is going down a treat with all the new school for the reason thats its so low for the whips and such like, but we also do a a more tradtional frame to keep every one happy with a 13.75 rear end and higher seat tube just like your regular frame and that weighs in at 3.7lbs, we knew this frame would not be to everybodys taste but the new schoolers love it, thats why we have brought out the 3.7lb now we have the best of both worlds really, they are all in black as they are just samples for no orther reason but that.

I've got to admit it does look like a 20" version of a Jump bike

even more reason to like the look of it  :smitten:

So far I love it , but again the proof is in the pudding and I'd have to try it in a Park  ::)

It would probably be right up my street   :)

that bike is fantastic, I kinda agree with what someone else said, it looks like it's been squashed, but it's a great bike
and Kane really knows how to cane it.  :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

also, I have, on more than one occasion, had a sh1t that weighed more than that bike.

I had 2 weeks off riding recovering from a few injuries and waiting for my new bike to arrive

Built this up over last week and rode for the first time on Saturday at the rad jam and its by far the best bike ive ever rode..

Granted it took a little time to get use to.. but so does any bike! I rode the Rad session Sat night and London yesterday and i have to say it feels amazing!

im proud to have my name on this frame and im so stoked on being a part of ukbikeco.
