i'll come hold yer hand, or better still you can help me carry the oxygen bottle, only raced Herden so far, and by my guestimate Daggers is nearly three times longer. Be interesting to see how the stamina works?? Cos it don't do too well at Hersden.

Not too bad at explosive short sprints, but the 50g pouch of golden virginia a day and 16 hour working days kinda take there toll on how long the energy stands up for........mind you, had a sneaky litle look at Dagers from the video of ratty winning the Winter series, and lots of jumps, so plenty of opportunity to have to pedal :daumenhoch:

We are very short of volunteers for this event so if anyone could come along early to help set up, or stay a bit later to help put away, it would be very much appreciated.

We are also after people to help with marshaling and call up - theres a cup of tea in it for you  :daumenhoch:

Crooch, how does Daggers compare to MK?
Title: Re: So who else is going to racing OS at Daggers this Sunday??
Post by: Zippy on July 15, 2008, 02:37 PM
Two gates would be great, I hate grand prix points.

So far then we have the following people riding.

Zippy
Mr Magoo
Pickle
Crooch

Well at least that's half a gate.  :LolLolLolLol:

We just need to get nods from the following people

Nishiki
Region 11
Fiolaslovechild
Hooga
Diamond Dean
Eloopnai
SE
KGB Matt

If all these guys turn up then we'll have two gates of 6.

Daggers is about the same length but the jumps are bigger and there's less of them so fitness is a high priority.

It might be a smidge over 400m I think but its a lot faster than MK with an excellent fast gate and very old school friendly first straight. Its not as pedally as MK, I. Ran a 43 on saturday there and was spinning me tits off!
Think ill pop over there tomorrow as I'm off this week.just get a few laps in!!

Hooga will be there and I can't see nishiki missing it nor SE. I've pm'd eloopnai as think he is a definite!

Post by: Zippy on July 15, 2008, 03:41 PM
I pm'd Region11 to see if he's in as well.

I've already changed my gearing back to 44 for Daggers because it is fast.

It'll be interesting to see how Magoo copes with the 3 sets of doubles on the back straight.   :LolLolLolLol:

How far is Daggers from Maidstone?

I am on my hols visiting the inlaws and if you are looking for numbers would be well up for it if I could borrow a bike  ;)

Maybe even get the father in law along to help with the marshalling....

Maidstone to Daggers on a sunday with not too much traffic, probably about 45 mins at absolute most. Depending on driving poss half hour?
Title: Re: So who else is going to racing OS at Daggers this Sunday??
Post by: eloopnai on July 15, 2008, 09:41 PM
i will be there chaps  :daumenhoch:

im geting confused about people getting points for higher placings as people in front of them arent in the series
does this mean i will be getting more points as im nearly always last apart from hersden i won the d final  :LolLolLolLol:
Title: Re: So who else is going to racing OS at Daggers this Sunday??
Post by: thecrooch on July 15, 2008, 11:06 PM
yeah we got to sort out who wants in and who doesnt then deduct those people from the table....  anyone who drops out mean you will move up in the points - means that the dozen or so peeps that have turned up to most of the races (incl you) should all be up there....

see you sunday - going over there tomorrow for a few dry laps in the sun!

Hi Kev,

I won't be racing old school at Daggers so LMK if you'd like me to bring my 20" free agent limo along for you to ride on.

If you can get someone to come along to help out that would really be great!

rOm is right next to this place:

http://cardrome.net/

There are no signs outside but if you pull in the entrance to the petrol station rOm is on the left hand side of the car dealer site.

It costs £6 a session or £10 all day - not sure of session times though
