Hi Dave, yes she's racing. I'm looking forward to it like I'm sure you are. I think they will improve rapidly as they get more confidence especially out of the gate.
I happened to mention to the mrs this morning while getting ready for work about changing Imogen's gearing so she can get out of the gate quicker, she didn't really respond :crazy2: As a Dad it definately get hold of you a bit doesn't it?

I've spent the last two weeks pricing loads of bits for her bike.... Shorter Crank... Some proper race wheels and like ya' self I've been chatting with some guys on here about her gearing.
I've just ordered her race gear and helmet so she will look the part... then its time to pimp her ride.. 8)

No it's my new scoot, thanks to O'donor :daumenhoch:. Unfortunatley I appear to have been scammed on the TNT >:( and am trying to get money back via paypal. Certainly in terms of bikes, it appears to have done me a favour ;)
Russ I have a slightly cut down set of TNT Retro's in chrome (would guess at 26-26.5") at the mo but will have a full width pair available in the next couple of weeks if that's of any use.

If its 1" headset, a Caliper Brake, 2 wheels (no more and no less) and 20" then you'll be alright!! :LolLolLolLol:

Preston Track Location.
London Road Preston. PR25AX
Its on a dual carriageway so its easier coming from the North going in a southerly direction.
I would suggest going straight to M6 Junction 31 rather then getting off at Junction 30 because you have quite a few Roundabouts to negotiate.
Trust me. Its far easier from Junction 31.
M6 Junction 31 turnoff towards preston on the A59/Preston New Rd
Total about Drive: 2.5 mi – about 5 mins
First :-
1. Head west on A59/Preston New Rd
Continue to follow A59
Go through 1 roundabout 1.9 mi
2. Turn left at A6/London Rd 0.4 mi
To: "Preston BMX Track"
A6/London Rd
Keep looking to the Left. After some houses it will start going downhill it will open up and you will see a big gate (On the Left). Thats the BMX Track Entrance
If you go past a pub at the bottom of the hill on the left then you have gone too far
They moved the football pitch and put the BMX Track at the top end.

Greg, i think you are taking this training thing too seriously.
Try eating tripe and cabbage for 3 days solid before hand, to enable "chappie mist" , perfect for toxic attacks on the gate, this should give you an edge :daumenhoch:

Having no grips on that bike MADD DOGG, reminds me of something I found out last night!!.
I had given Creamy my Specialized Summer Gloves (leathery palm and breathable back) for riding because he didn't have any and they were starting to rip at the thumb. He commented on how they weren't very grippy and his hands kept slipping. He had them on the wrong way around with the leathery palm on the back of his hands. It turns out that he rode all of his summer races with his gloves that way!! No wonder he kept falling off!! :LolLolLolLol:

Great days racing today chaps :daumenhoch: The first moto was the first time I've jumped the doubles, I didn't have the bottle in practice but the red mist decended in the race :P

ANOTHER great day with the northern posse... its such a laugh this Old Skool malarky... I love it...
EVEN when I come home a little bruised and a tiny bit battered... Was chuffed with a couple of 3rd's in my Moto's, especially considering that I was in the same grouping as Haro82 (Andy) & jtsmooth (john)... who along with Dark Diggler are considered the 'Big Gun's' of the Northern Series....
The final was a cracker even if I did end up on my arse and last... I think (but I will wait to see the video) I was in 4th place at the time and that would have been one of my best results since the Northern Series took off this summer, but some Berm Battling ended with me off the track and rolling home 8th.... :knuppel2: :knuppel2:

I kept telling Mr Racing to zoom all the way out but he said he knew how to use a camcorder!!
At least his footage was better than his efforts at Hartlepool. Where most of the footage was of the floor!!

Seeing as I was the berm marshall on this particular day, and stood right next to the cameraman ( in a similarly camp fashion: wrist flacid, flag erect) I'll be the judge of fact on this one.
It's quite clear that by frame 4 Beard has managed to get his nose in front and is holding fourth place, albeit making full use of the track. In frame 5 Beard is beginning a classic Hunterdubber move of a skew-pull-up-manual into rimmer follow-through transfer, and by frame 8 he's pulled it off perfectly, by Dubber's standards. Frame 9 and Sanmarco's elbows are out, the dirty b*stard, in a desperate move on Beard that could have jeapordised his racing career. If I hadn't have been shouting across to my wife at this time for another scotch pie, I'd have had my flag up and had him disqualified. In short you were robbed Dave.
