Hello all,
started my first build for 23 years today!
84 GT performer f&f arrived at 07:45 and after the joy and almost tears (for the 23 lost years) I'm ready to get going.
wanted to say hello to everyone on the site,
I will need some advice and help along the way and I hope I will make some new friends.
finding it a bit daunting at the mo' :D

Re your doomed!
tell me about it,
I've only been back on it for a few weeks and I can't believe the amount of time I'm spending on line trying to jog my memory!
My wife gets that glazed over look every time I get exited and tell her about something I've found ;D

Fantastic f&f that mate, when you build it you will be amazed at how nice they ride to.
Take a look in the museum for inspiration and keep us posted :daumenhoch:

Lovely mate, nice 1st build that's gonna be and a long time coming! Once you get the bug that's it, soon the house will be full of all the bikes you ever wanted and the missus will go mad ;D
I'm doing a white performer too at the mo, such lovely bikes and I intend to ride this one :4_17_5:
All the best and keep us posted on your build...
Matt :daumenhoch: ;)

latest news,
returning the frame and forks to the chap who sold it to me as there was a mistake on the listing! :'(
back on the lookout for an 84 performer F&F.
-
unlucky buddy isnt it a genuine one?
hope you sort it ;)
-
it's an 85 and I bought it as an 84 ???
no sure if that makes too much of a difference?
-
thinking I may just keep it now anyway,
The more I look at it the more attached I get :smitten:
-
hahaha yeh just keep it dood get building ordering thinking its a full time job :2funny:

Tis a big difference if your building as a collection bike, not as many 84s as 85s. 84 the original year of a performer (give or take some very early late 83s)
If i bought a 84 and it turned out 85 i would want a refund for sure, if you like it and wanna build a rider keep it cos they are still lovely bikes :daumenhoch:.
