Would be grateful if someone can tell me if it's anodised or painted. I have worked with anodising in the past and thought I knew what I was talking about but I can't tell with this thing.

Cheers stuntmaster. I had a feeling it was.

Looks like Im going to have to use the old caustic soda. I want it to be polished silver.

Looking at the stem from the ebay lin and looking at mine they are obviously different. The one on ebay has the cut out by the bolt. How many different types did they make and why?
