can i change the spindle on shimano DX pedals. i have been give a pair 1/2inch spindles but i need to change the spindles to 9/16 for three piece crank. will the spindles from a set of wellgo (or similar) pedals fit the shimano DX? anyboy know?
-
Yes you can change them but im not sure on the Wellgo idea?, you might have to get some genuine Shimano one's :daumenhoch:
-
If the replacement spindles you're using are from a DX style pedal , they should fit no problem :daumenhoch:
I used Victors but others should be ok
-
Wellgo actually make the DX style pedals for other brands
DMR , etc

Check out the For Sale section, 'steve' has a pair of battered DXs for sale cheap, and he has 9/16 axles fitted. :)
