a normal ta aint worth much more than 280 nick, and both of the ones you showed need at least £80 on the f&f alone.

nope sold 1 of these in the box for 50 quid last year
-
Could be a few of these up for sale soon then ;)
-
I don't think the rereleased TAs have helped the price of them :-\
Still the best all round old skool frame :daumenhoch:
-
I don't think so Nick
This question always gets asked when a cheap bike comes along ::)
Some you miss some you don't
There's always a bargain crops up
last year I could have got A 83 Quad full wrap 401's tufneck stem kashi etc full bike £460 posted from U.S on Ebay
again I was watching it
then forgot about it :crazy2:
it was at about £400 starting bid and I thought it'd make around £700
You'll always get a bargain
I don't see a downturn in prices ,,, just a downturn in people selling as much stuff

agreed how much cream of the crop stuff do you actually see for sale? i know theres the odd bit but mosts hoarded
-
Cool, cheap parts are great :daumenhoch:
-
That £280 TA needs a hell of a lot of work. If you bought it, stripped it, painted the frame and forks and re-decaled and relisted it it would clear £300 for the frame and forks alone looking mint.
Casual buyers (90% ofebay) are scared of too much hard work.

i like it when the ass falls out of things

-
would be nice but can`t see the ass falling out , i can see parts staying high as takes longer to find the bits than the frames .
shame as love to buy more bits but no cash , saying that i most probably got about 8 crates full of nos stuff so don`t really need anymore ::)
-
Yes! i'll be soon to own a T/A woop woop!!
-
what difference does it make if the arse falls out of it? cheap parts mean ya can enjoy your bikes more n will open doors for people who wanted to get back into it but was scared off by the cost involved which can only benefit the scene, if the thought of a loss is particularly worrying then the reasons for your interest in oldschool is completely wrong, the only people who are gonna suffer are the cnuts who buy stuff at ridiculus prices and attempt to make a profit selling them on, which goes along way contributing to the falling of said arse.
soon ya can all get out n thrash them :daumenhoch: :LolLolLolLol:
-
Thrash em...Yeah, I like that one :daumenhoch:
-
Prolapse...

Certain items will become harder to find and hold there money, that's normal.
But with the way the world economy is and everything falling in price, it is
natural that some parts etc will fall also. you just have to see the sale section here and
fleabay. They have slowed right down in the past eight months.......
We all have to remember that in the last 15-20yrs man has been growing way to fast,
with all this buy buy buy. This world fook up that we are now is just knocking us down a peg or two..
Anyways don't get me started...
Where's my cheque bookkk :2funny:

Well i bought that £280 Skyway TA and i pick it up today in Kent. Im sure i can remove most of that rust and polish her up nice. :-\ I wanted an original chrome f+f.
The parts are crap and the wheels are odd in colour but i really cant wait to start work on it.
Didnt buy it for a profit as its gonna be my rider.
It would be great if prices did come down. I believe that too but I also believe that the 'good' stuff is hard to sell too at the mo though.
I have only secured a buyer for the wheels, tyres and bars on my Quad thats in the for sale section. Peeps havent even asked for prices on the other parts and that makes me wonder.
Im glad that Ade agrees with Orgasmdonor with his statement. I may be able to buy his BOTY JMC now cheap as chips. >:D
-
Ade's BOTY is never gonna be cheap, he gets good money for it...regularly
-
Damn good price that Nick, have to get up some piccy's once you've picked it up :)
-

he added 50% as soon as he donned that tache :LolLolLolLol:

Polish the life out of it. Fingers crossed it's only grime and surface rust :daumenhoch:
...you can't beat factory chrome TAs.
-
A result Nick but I wouldn't say the arse has dropped out of it, just the beginning of return to sensibility and normality :daumenhoch:.
Oxalic acid bath and a good scrub is hopefully all that's needed, get some pics up wil ya? :daumenhoch:
-
There's bound to be the odd cheapie getting through the net, but good, well maintained bikes will hold their price. I paid £370 for my complete T/A and there's no way I'd sell it at a loss.
Ray.

I can remember when you once nearly sold me your munners :LolLolLolLol:
