I just picked this up - my first GT freestyle project. Can you help me ID the year?

From what I can glean from BMXmuseum's notes on serial numbers this should be a Kenisis made, US built, September 1988... but I'm not convinced.
It seems pretty original: GT Freestyle bars, seatpost, saddle, tyre, Newer GT logo stamped frame & forks; ACS hubs; Bulldog calipers; Odessey Quickstop2 levers & Gyro2.
As I got it:

Looks like a 92 Vertigo to me. First year of that style decal on the seat tube and it would make a lot of those parts correct to the bike if it was.
-
hi-i bought a GT Pro freestyle tour frame from backyard in hastings in 1993.
this looks VERY similar
-
Yeah Matt I think you're right. From what I can find on BMXmuseum it's a Vertigo from 90-93 era but I didn't find any chrome ones in original condition for a direct comparison - the parts are original, only the rear wheel seems to have been replaced.
I checked out the '94 Performers on BMXmuseum Nosher70, and they are very much like this frame except the brake cable passes through the bottom of the seat tube.
Vertigo's:

It's cleaned up really nicely so far after stripping it down and doing the coke-foil trick.
Today I'll apply some Autosol after using the dremmel to clean the hard to reach places.

After cleaning up - starting to look much better. The rust is gone and almost all the red paint that was splashed on here & there:

After stripping the Vertigo last weekend and polishing it up during the rugby...
Today I rebuilt the Bulldog brakes, resprayed the chainwheel and fitted some Odyssey Barefeet from JT71 to get her ready for Old Fools 6.
Went for a quick spin up the road - man this bikes a whippet! Love it!
More pics tomorrow but here she is:
