Having never raced myself I know didly-squat about race bikes or racing so I'm after some advice please.
My little girl who turns seven in June is mad keen to start racing. She's quite tall for her age, already in 8-9 year old clothes, and she's mega competitive. So I figured I'd let her have a go and see if she likes it.
What would be a good starter bike for her? Which club would be best for her to join? (we're in South Yorkshire) What does she need, licence etc.?
Any help and advice would be much appreciated.

Seems to be a lot of Redlines about whenever I have a mooch over at Dagenham - I believe they do a decent complete.

Do seem to be alot of redlines about. To be honest unless you have money to burn, get yourself along to your nearest track, most folks are friendly and will let your little one try a bike. By the sounds of it she might be ready for Expert size.
Buy a 2nd hand bike to start with, kids loose interest and grow quickly so normally bikes padlocked up with for sale signs at regional meeetings :daumenhoch:

as far as the redlines go they are very cheep to pick up second hand and new i ride a proline myself and they ride very sweet indeed also look at the haro and gt range for lower end bikes but as stated second hand is the way to go for a first race bike.

The GT race range is ideal for entry, you can pick up a junior which may well be ok for her for about £100.
Just like this one
