I never know what era bike to put them on
Thank you :-*
-
I don't know :-\
-
ive got a few pairs but aint got a clue, sorry, proper berm eaters tho, no better tyre for the front IMO :daumenhoch:
-
Great tyre - if you had to compromise and was a toss up between a recently made rainbow comp 3 or a comp 8 to chuck on an os bike....mmmm who knows. I haven't got any rainbows anyway come to think of it.
-
I'd go on logo type rather than tread pattern to tell the age personally :-\ Last pair of comp 8's i saw had the blue/grey (silver) logo on so i think that puts them around 85/86 ? ???

I am sure they were around in 85/86 HOWEVER I can't find any ads or reviews in BMX Action around that time at all not later which is really puzzling. Someone must know, where's JJ when you need him ::) .

Know what you mean ref the magazine ads , I don't remember them and I retired from racing in 87 and upto this point Comp 3's , 4's and Knarlers were most peeps choice .

I stopped riding in late 86 but I used to help out still at Heff's and then at my mates bike shop through 87 to 90 and definitely remember seeing them and putting them on bikes; it was as though they had been around for ages...

I like the theory of the blue /silver logo as the age signifier, that's what I've got. At least it makes them a bit more usable and correct than some modern cop out. They were on a Judge which would have been an 85, so possibly they were a correct era tyre, never thought they were.
