Its the 7th Round of the 2009 Summer Series, so come on lads get ya names down!!!!

Don't forget you'll need a Silver BCF Membership to race OS.  Without one you'll be stuck in a Novice Class and you'll probably get beat by a 12 year old!!  :-[

RADBMX ID, Number Plate and Weapon of OS Destruction Please.   

REMEMBER!!!   OS Racing is all about fun and trying to stay on the bike.  So all you newbies out there who want to have a dabble then dont wait and dont worry.  We're a great bunch of lads.  Whatever physical condition your in or skills your lacking, you'll still be appreciated.  Its all about the CRAIC!!  :daumenhoch:

If any Midlands, Southern or Scottish OS Riders fancy a trip up/down to Manchester then you'll be more than welcome.   But prepare for a good ass whupping!!   ;D

Full Face Helmet, Long pants and long sleeve jersey and Gloves are minimum requirements.   I suggest Shin/Kneepads and Elbow pads.  Body Armour wouldn't go a miss either!!  ;)

JD, have you got your BCF Silver Membership sorted because ya canna race without it!!

Let us know where ya live.   If your in the NW then we'll try and arrange a meet for some practice before the regional!!

If your Yorkshire way then MotomagII and the rest might arrange a meet up!!

In any case if your going to MK then sign up to race!   MK is an easier track than Manchester!!  :daumenhoch:

Cheers lads, I applied for the Silver membership on the phone on Tuesday - they sent me my membership number via email
but am still waiting for the pack to come through the post. Hopefully next week.

Name is down for MK in the Novice class, but am nervous about riding infront of people.

I have a full face lid and elbow pads from my MX racing days, just bought some sixsixone knee pads from the greedybay  as well ;)

So I think the only thing missing is the knowledge and skill of how to ride a BMX race bike.. ;D

I live in the Chester area Moley, Manchester is about 40mins.

As for racing!!    Its a laff!!  :daumenhoch:

The track is really a pump track as its quite narrow - prob race 4 bikes against each other??

Its in place called westminster park behind the tennis courts: Hough Green ,Chester, CH4 8JQ.

Hard for me to say what the track is like as its the only track I have ever ridden on, I like it as the jumps are not too intimidating (I cant clear any) and there is a small whoops section which is good for practice. Id be happy to meet peeps there if anyone fancys trying it - just PM me.
I was there late last night - from 8pm 9:30pm, its nice and quiet later on.

The only other pic I have is a pic of my lad on his subrosa (purchased from Stodgey  ;)) it shows about 95% of the track.

No. i have been basically a lazy barsteward and also a naughty boy cause i bought Gregs as well. Don't know what i am gonna do but these are the don't know what i am gonna do's that i like :daumenhoch: I might put it together for manchester but just put the robbo down incase i don't.

I am an uncertain for manchester after mk. I have sprained my wrist and can hardly walk. Just been to the a & e in leeds and have badly bruised my heel. It could be ok by the end of the week though hopefully (fingers crossed) :coolsmiley:

The route is sorted for Manchester. Managed to get a b+b about 10mins walk to the track. Why is the wife better at organising these things better the me :idiot2:
 
Seen the track on their site looks good. The big Q is ???? Is it Davey Lindsay old scool safe :).

I am a definate cry off for manchester now. The hospital called me back to say they were not sure about my wrist xray. I had to go back and it looks like i have this on until next wednsday. Then they will take it off and have another look.
How much damage did chris's bike take then? Will it be fit for manchester?

Hey Glynnyboy!!

I took some framegrabs of your 2 crashes at MK09.

I could post them here if you think it will cheer you up!!  :daumenhoch:

Your 1st crash wasn't your fault.  A rider went across you and you must of hit his back wheel trying to avoid him.

The 2nd was down to your 2 footed start.   You lost balance before the gate dropped and you put both feet down and then the gate dropped.   You panicked and put both feet back on the pedals and you must not have got you feet seated properly!!

Just remember Dad's Army!! 

Don't Panic!!  :LolLolLolLol:

Take a good look at your pedals and shoes before you race again.

Don't use Trainers.  They might not grip as well as a specialised cycling show like Vans, DC etc, etc.

If you pedals are small or not grippy then get a large platform DX style pedal.    You'll have more room on the pedal if you need to shift your feet slightly!! 

Grippy shoes and pedals means your feet will be planted firmly in whatever position you stick them on!!  :daumenhoch:

Take it easy Glynn and I'll see you at Hartlepool if the docs give you the all clear!!  :)

Ian i had a look at the two your talking about. My pedals are ok and the shoes i was using grip great in the dry. I did notice them slipping all over on sunday as the grips arn't far apart enough so some proper shoes are on the cards.
The 1st one where the lad pulls across, he came straight across and rode straight into my front wheel. I did feel at the time that i would have stood more of a chance if he had been on a 20. I always thought mixing cruisers and 20's wasn't right but now feel from the collision aspect a cruiser rider has a higher point of gravity with his wheels. I feel this gives an advantage to any possible collisions imo.
Got to say i have really enjoyed my three outings so far :coolsmiley: :coolsmiley:

Only 14 riders on the list and we always get no-shows!!

So you can cross Creamy off the list because he always changes his mind at the last minute as he's a big girl!!   :'(

With all the big hitters missing.........it could be interesting to see who will take the win!!

Hello from the new champ of the fall off..... Nobody told me in the final I was about 30 feet short with my abrupt end. ah well you live and learn. Should have stuck were I was instead tryin to go for second. The Dubber was on fire , great ridin man. Moley, exelent 3rd place on the big big bike yous . GOOD RACIN AS WELL ::).  
 Me and the Diggler  had a good race in the 2nd moto when he edged me out , he likes the pumping and the manualing.  

In a whole it was great to be down again as this what it is all about . See u all at the brits.

Oh yeah , I cracked my ribs. Nice eh...

Moley u were right about that last straight. They were a few off thru the day. What a track tho, those were the best berms I have rode in years. Pity about the pescy jump things.

On some free weekends I will come down for a play on the tracks . It does not take that long and it will be good practice of actually staying on my bike :uglystupid2:

twas great days racing im gutted as i think i deserved a final i felt like i was riding really well yesterday but by the final my legs were fooked no race left in em at all.should have seen the rest of the guys when i was first out the gate in the first race .only prob was i was cream crackered byt he 4th straight .really liking my need ride and gonna start getting bit fitness now as determined i can now catch up and beat molesky  :daumenhoch: >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D

Although Hartlepool is a downhill track and your weight will give you an advantage...........I fancy the challenge, so bring it on!!  :daumenhoch:

Greg aint racing at Hartlepool so I might as well use you for target practice!!  :LolLolLolLol:

Hopefully Davey is okay for the Scot's Club Championships (he wasn't going to Hartlepool anyway).   

I'm gonna try and make it up there for that one.  So if anyone fancies a trip across the border then LMK and we'll arrange it!!  :daumenhoch:

Good day apart from the rain.... thought I was gonna give you boys a good arse wupping on my home track but thanks to my handlebars turning left on the first moto on the gate, it didn't happen... fookin 1" headsets.
Told ya this tracks a killer, get to the last str8 and your fooked..... see ya all at hartlepool (ain't that monkey hanging country?)
