Facilities
Trackside we will have a burger van on Saturday & Sunday, ice cream van on Sunday only, filling station & shop about 50 yards from the track, also about 1/4 mile down the road we have Pizza Hut, Burger King and some Toby Diner-type place. We should also have toilets, but I recommend taking your dumps elsewhere anyway, and don't stink our loos out!!!

Its the Scottish Open Championships and the trophy has never gone south of the border, and not likely too, so come on lads get ya names down for your chance !!!!

REMEMBER!!! OS or NS Racing is all about fun and trying to stay on the bike. So all you newbies out there who want to have a dabble then dont wait and dont worry. We're a great bunch of lads. Whatever physical condition your in or skills your lacking, you'll still be appreciated. Its all about the CRAIC!!

If any Midlands, Southern or Northern Riders fancy a trip up to Glasgow then you'll be more than welcome. But prepare for a good haggiswhupping!!

Full Face Helmet, Long pants and long sleeve jersey and Gloves are minimum requirements. I suggest Shin/Kneepads and Elbow pads. Body Armour wouldn't go a miss either!!

The Scottish Open is always a great meet and bring many old and new faces to the sport. Camping is not available or advised at the track - you might wake up in the clyde. However, they available about 15mins drive on the banks of Loch Lomond and they have excellent facilities .

The Scottish Open Championships is generally a busy weekend of people just through curiousity, and will attract a few undesireables too. With this in mind please ensure that you keep your belongings close at all times.

Depends on whether I get the XX or Amtrac built up.

Is the track very small and is there plenty of time for recovery between gates?

I might have a go at NS as well for a laff on a PK Ripper Team XLP, if I can be arsed!!

The track is small and tight, so bring ur NS ride as well so I'm not the only one holding up the OS gate. I usually use the old 'I need to change my vans for these pedals' as the most reasonable excuse to catch my breath between motos.

Weather guaranteed! - not sure what type tho, but I can honestly say that it hasn't rained all year at either a gate night or race day.............honest!!

I usually use the 'Fake' heart attack routine. You get your rest and get stretchered off!! Just make sure the First Aid tent is next to the start hill!!

How many riders (all classes) and how many races per moto do you usually have!! Have the numbers improved over the last year or so?

If there aint too many then we can slow it down a little and make sure all the races or filmed from possibly two angles. I'll deffo bring my camera. :daumenhoch:

What sort of facilities are trackside e.g. Food, toilets, ice cream van, nearby shops etc, etc?

If I need my early morning dump and you only have a bucket available then I'll stop at a Motorway service station before I hit Glasgow!! :LolLolLolLol:

I'm just gonna drive up on the Sunday. The last 2 times I've raced with a hangover haven't been my best? Although that RU21 does stop the 'morning after' headaches!! :daumenhoch:

and probably more that Tom from RedBull forgot to tell me about :)

Also, the event will be reported in the next issue of Fastlane Magazine, due out on 19th September, and available at The Brits. So make sure your bike and race gear is clean!!

No novice classes as such, but there will be a fair few riders making their racing debut, so he shouldn't feel too intimidated. The track is very oldschool & beginner friendly too :daumenhoch:

Its a serious question.

Its looks dark.

Is it Tarmac corners and that dark stuff on the straights like what they did the bottom half of the Hartlepool track in?

Dirt, hardcore, tarmac, pixie dust?

I want to know for tire selection. If it gets really muddy then I might put on some of OJ's tractor tires for grip!!

I was slipping all over at Lytham dirt track especially on the berms!!

I wouldn't watch me, you'll end up with a sore neck and probably crash because you wont be able to see whats in front of you!!
