I assume the numbering system for OS at the Brits this year is the same as the other classes:
e.g. 09 regional ranking plus point 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 to denote the region (e.g. 13.5)
?????

As the class is now recognised it will work exactly as per other classes Mike :daumenhoch:

No one did enough old school regionals to quailfy for a plate in the South Mike, fook knows how that works out with plates at the brits :-\

wont you just use the number from whatever class you have used to qualfy for brits?
i raced cruiser to qualify as no old school class in mids but i am thinking of doing old school at brits now.

They will just allocate them from 1.5 downwards randomly i think :-\ Lemme speak to Scott and see how they handle it :daumenhoch:

just got an email reply from british cycling saying it's possible there could be a 40+ 20" old school class in 2010

How does that differ from the OS Class at Cheddar?
I think only 1 rider raced 24" and he didn't win, he came 2nd and is an experienced rider.
Most of the OS riders aren't even 40 yet either!! ???
-
I think they might be havin a 20" 40+ class, not an old school 40+, although you could ride an old school in it :)
-
I thought thats what Masters is for? ???
-
I just think we should keep it as it is just now.
My opinion would be in future if the old school cruiser numbers increase enough they should have an old school cruiser class. If the numbers don`t increase to warrant that we keep as is..
Any one got an old school cruiser for sale then ....... :coolsmiley:

thats how i read it they will have two masters classes like a masters plus vets or something....
can see the need personally.
-
Whats the definition of Masters?
Is there an age limit?
And how many people raced masters?
-
there was probably 2-3 gates at the Brits. We normally get 1-2 gates in the south and know you have less up north.
As far as im aware its just 30+
Just cant see why they would want to split the class when its small already. Its like the 45+ Cruiser. Im sure most of them would prefer to race with the other 40+rs.

there was 31 riders in masters at brits

from what the lads have said it the south 40+ a 20" new skool class would prob go down well.
a few people have been riding there old skool bikes in masters up north apparantly ???
and moley i'm nearly 42 ;) i bet all the other old skool racers at the brits were in there early to mid thirties :P

Yep!!
With 31 riders I think an older 20" class is warranted.
Cruiser 40-44 had 39
and
Cruiser 45+ had 9
Which I think is fair.
Which is the fastest class. 40-44 or 45+?
And could any of the 45+ drop down to 40-44 if they wanted a harder challenge (...if its harder)? ???
-
40-44 is harder than 45+. No disrespect to the other riders, but only Ady Warden, Phil Beer, Dave Herman and Billy Fieldhouse could compete in 40-44.
Next year will be different though. Keith Wilson and Billy Stupple moving up. Maybe a couple of others as well.

I'll be there on a new 2010 ONE crowser! :)
