I wrote a report for the OS Grands at Preston in May 2009.
It never appeared in any future mags and I never heard back from the editor.
The magazine dropped through the letterbox this morning and I got a shock.
Along with coverage of the 2009 UCI BMX Worlds in Australia, 2009 Australian Championships, 2009 NBL Grands, UCI Supercross World Cup in Copenhagen, ABA First State Nationals and Euro 'Cheddar' Rounds 13/14 there was my article about the Preston Old Skool Grands at North Region BMX Regional - Round 3 at Preston.

Unfortunately all my spelling and grammar mistakes are left in the article. But on the plus side theres some great piccys of Dubber, Diggler and MotomagII and the rest!!
Shame that the article also mentions that OS will be at the Brits in 2009 as a recognised class!! >:(
I have just paid £170 for 20 mags
They said they only had 20 magazines to spare and they wouldn't let me have any more!!
So the cost so far is £8.50 per magazine. He said he'll keep the value down and mark it as magazines etc, etc so hopefully I dont get stung customs so any further costs wont be added to the £8.50 (I hope)
Mark Huddart was down for 2 mags............he is now down for just 1 magazine!!
The problem is that there is only 20 magazines for 22 people.
Some people might say first come, first serve. To which I say..................bollocks.
The people that attended the OS Preston Grands get moved to the top of the list. They deserve to get priority because its a nice souvenir of the event that they can show their great grandchildren that they were once gnarly and rad when all they can do at that age is wet themselves and eat soft foods like jelly.
So I have changed the order of the list to reflect that. If you dont like it then please slap me the next time you see me.

The first 17 names on the list will get priority on the magazines and the last 5 names will be in the order they posted their interest.
As it stands at the moment MattFX81 and Cotty will not receive a magazine. :'(
I expect this situation to change. When it comes to paying for the mags then some people might not want them or be too stingy to stump up the coinage etc, etc.
Hopefully I dont end up paying for several magazines out of my own pocket.
If there is anyone that has changed their mind about wanting a mag and wishes to be taken off the list then LMK so I can bump Matt and Cotty up the list.
I know just hope the magazines dont get lost in the post!!! :shocked:
