Title: Blackpool North Region RD 6 2013 OLD SCHOOL.
Post by: hazzajoe on June 21, 2013, 08:12 AM
Anyone going?

I've booked online 30-39 cruiser and my son Harry expert 10's. Is there any point in me taking the Holmes ( and a change of jimmy choo's)

2 O/S riders couldn't detract from the awesomeness of the day, racing and track  :daumenhoch:

nowt like 5m start gate and 47mph gusts behind you to help you appreciate what is possibly the best 1st straight in the North, awesome track  :daumenhoch: (but fook I struggled trying to get to the end of the last straight, i'll be surprised if I can walk tomorrow :LolLolLolLol:)

organisation superb and gate practice and racing went like clockwork, well done Tarquin and team

the buzz of annihilating the first straight was way more fun than winning dude, the wind was mental. We were on the gate waiting for our first moto n first jump took peeps out in the 3 motos before ours, we watched from the top as every race produced carnage right in front of us n 2 of the wipe-outs involved ambulances and stretchers, then it was our turn to take the plunge  :'( :LolLolLolLol: awesome  :daumenhoch:

Brilliant day, fantastic track, perfectly run  :daumenhoch:

No mustard or fried onions on the hot dog stand. That'll get you a jail sentence in the North East ;D  good job the bacon butties tasted ok.

Cheers Fellas glad you enjoyed it.

The first straight was good wasn't it Daz with those winds , shame when you turned the corner  ;D

Sorry about the Mustard and Fried Onions Bren, the caterers are next to useless but we have to use them. I will do everything I can to sack them off , they don't even give us a cut of the takings  :knuppel2:  Tw*ts

Hopefully be totally redoing the last straight if we can to get a nice bit of Rythm going on. NOT steep and deep  :)

Aside from the weather. Which a) could've been a lot worse, it was in the north east apparently.
                                             b) no-one can control.

It was an awesome track, in fantastically prepared condition. Very well ran and organised, from parking up to practicing to racing to sessioning. Massive 2 thumbs up :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

Cheers Daz/Joe,

Well spotted Daz it does go uphill, it would have been great if the start hill was where the finish line is but the original planning was thrown out because they did not want the start hill to be seen from the Boat House accross the lake as it would ruin the view  :-* , so it had to go uphill, Flem and Phil tried to build it in such a way as you don't notice by building up the berms etc.

Like you say the last straight jumps are massive when you are knackered, ok for sessioning as they are a good shape but a nice low rhythm section would be much better.

Also , it's not too long , other tracks are too short  ;)
