I really enjoyed the event it's self. I agree, the BMX section on the main Marquee was quite sparse when I went in there. I was lucky enough to get to the camping area on the Thursday so I got a good camping spot. People arriving further in to the weekend struggled to get in. It just needed someone to play adult for a while to get it organised to get people in in an orderly fashion.

They obviously worked hard to put the event on which I respect.  But you walked into the tent, with  BMX,s only surrounding the parameter, the rest of the marquee was for cars. I felt like I was doing them a favour to put a few bikes in show and shine, no seating at all, only a roped off are for coolflo, and their crew😅 I didn’t feel welcome at all. Luckily we found the main dance tent with Billy Bunter, which made the weekend.

Resurrecting an old thread here because I'm toying with the idea of buying a new Odyssey Springfield or used EVO 11 (as opposed to the EVO 2.5). Thoughts or feedback anyone?

A couple of updates.

First, my Sunday project is almost done. An unexpected hold-up has been the brakes. I've never run a U-brake before, so assumed that an Odyssey Slic-Kable (with straddle cable) would work fine with the Hombre caliper. Wrong!   Only one of the Hombre arms is open-ended, so it needs a hanger and bridging cable to work. Given that I don't know the working condition of the Hombre (or pads), I'm inclined to buy another caliper and use the new Odyssey cable with that. Will see what I can find. In the meantime, I'm continuing to hit up my local skate park on the Quamen. I'm going there once or twice a week and am still loving it!
