It's taken a while but I've finally got round to making a start on scanning my old negatives. I think they were taken at Reddich in 1981 but if anyone knows better please get in touch.

I'm afraid the quality isn't great but if anyone wants copies any I can try and clean them up a bit, re-scan them at a higher resolution and bung them on a disc for you.

I don't think that's redditch though is it? You couldnt see houses or a road from
Redditchs old track

could the long head tube one be a wilson ?
didn't they build one with a 5" head tube

seen an ad in bmx weekly and also this thread says as much

It is Redditch 1981 and I know nearly all the riders, shall I ID them.....

Were they all taken at the same track? Because some certainly are Redditch but some of the don't look like it....

They look like Redditch, perhaps taken at different meets?
The track looks freshly built in some, others have a bit of vegetation growth on them.

Theses are fantastic

. Some of the earliest pics I've ever seen.. 2 of me #317 but the best picture by a mile is of John Lee #760. This must have been one of his 1st ever races. Robinson sticker on his headtube n torker on his number plate. He signed up for alans Robinson after this for a short while but as you know ended up as mr Raleigh burner. O and he's beating mike pardon #348. Brilliant photos. You got any more

OMG! I know loads of them on these pics. My brother, David Westwell, is 245 and he is on an early 1980 Wilson, so is 444 but cant remember his name, will dig out a pic of him. What's a real treat is seeing my mum and dad on the second pic

my dad is no longer with us so I love it when he appears on someone else's photos

im not sure they are redditch to be honest i live in redditch but could be wrong. as said above there are no houses near the track but are visable from there.
