hi

putting together a redline flight pro with shimano dxr crank, how many  teeth  would be good for the front sprocket for  an 11 year old for racing

38T        42T      44T

44t is still a great gear,time doesnt change,still used today.

If they're on skinny wheels (ie 1 3/8") I'd recommend 38:15 as a starting point. If they're a big 11 year old on adult sized wheels then 42 or 43:16.
