But before you read all that... I was was watching a few of the better riders thrashing round on Thursday night and it looked great. Very fast, technical and still down hill.

Even if you don't intend to race, you should still go and watch as the last three straights will be visual delight   :daumenhoch:

Sunday 21st July 2013 sees the next round of the North Region Race Series at Hartlepool BMX Track at Summerhill Visitors Centre, Hartlepool. This is your opportunity to be part of the 1st race on a totally revamped track. The track now has 4 straights with lots of variety, and three tarmac berms. This makes for fast downhill racing for all age groups.

Pre-reg for Hartlepool
Opens at midnight on Wednesday 10th July and closes at midnight Thursday 18th July 2013. Remember if you have previously registered for a race and not got there your entry will transfer through to the next round.

Saturday 20th July 2013
The club will be holding gate practice from 1400-1700hrs. Cost is £2 for members, £3 for non members. All are welcome. This is an ideal opportunity for riders to familiarise themselves with the new and exciting track.

Once you are on the outskirts of Hartlepool you should start to see the Brown Summerhill Signs that lead to the Centre.


Car parking **IMPORTANT**
There is plenty of parking in the visitor centre car park that is a short distance from the track at a cost of £2 per vehicle. Please do not park on Summerhill Lane that leads to the Centre as this needs to be kept clear for emergency vehicle access. This will be monitored by the council and the Police and if people do not keep this clear future event may be put in jeopardy, in addition to the health of anyone that is injured.

Team / Club Gazebo’s

There is a space alongside the first and last straights to erect gazebos. Please ensure that gazebos are tied down as this is a requirement of the risk assessment.

ToiletsToilets are located in Summerhill Visitors Centre and there will also be portaloos trackside.

Raffle
Raffle tickets are £1 – We have some great prizes so we would be pleased if you can support the club by buying some.

Medals
All Novice Riders will receive a medal.

Food

Food is for sale within the visitors centre and trackside. The catering is supplied by the caterers that have a contract with the council

Camping
The grass areas within the car park area and the adjoining field have been trimmed and the council are happy for people to camp before this race. However, the toilet facilities are only available when the visitors centre is open; that is 0900-1700hrs on the Saturday and from 0800hrs on the Sunday.
