It isn't quite finished yet as I'm going to get the bars powder coated, change the grips, tyres, stem and seatpost clamp, oh and sort out the front brake cable, but here it is so far, what do you think? Oh and btw, it's my first build!

Finished!

One in Freestyle build, the other in Race build.

This is the bike I've owned since 1982/3, however the only original parts from that 1983 build are the frame & forks, and the stem.

To complete both builds I did the following;

My original 1982 Firebird frame & forks, powder-coated white.
Original Diamond Back SR stem powder coated blue. Thanks to clowntype.
NOS EZ Bars powder coated to match f+fs. Ebay.
NOS SE Racing bars. Ebay.
New Skyway wheels. Coloredtuffs.com.
NOS UKAI wheels c/w blue KT hubs, blue Primo spokes with black nipples, and new 80's Ching Shin blue Comp-III style 1.75" skinwall (not newer gum-wall) tyres. Ebay.
NOS Shimano DX pedals. Thanks to PK Radman.
NOS Takagi 3 piece crank & bottom bracket. Thanks to Orangezippy.
NOS Suntour seat clamp. Ebay.
NOS GT seat post. Ebay.
NOS Shotgun 2 saddle. Ebay.

My original DP freestyler, Glyn lewis version. Owned by me on and off since I was 15. It has always had a painted frame and chrome dp forks, no idea why, perhaps they had a surplus of chrome ones $:-\$ Late 80`s build, nothing special, Skyways, GT mallet and GT bars, odessey layback, Skyway turbodisc, ACS Boa`s, and my shagged 1976 lotus Esprit for company

anyboby ever done the fluro green one, got a pink power post , thats all that left of mine , had a white one, powder cote came of dropouts within a week got it swaped for a chrome one sold that after a few years

Rare Mini 20" dp Firebird race frame set

This frame set was given to me by Neil Park, son of Dave Park - dp.
It was without decals when I got it and as you can see needed a very good clean. I've never seen another single top tube mini race frame before, so just had to get this one built up.
