JT71 - yeah - the ramp on the left (as you look at the foampit) by the door to the Foam pit.

They are OK but agree they look quite slippy.

They aren't as mellow as the bowl and give you a nice bit of speed to get over the volcano!!

Bushwacked, I have the same problem, back wheel slides. Ended up with whiplash Sunday at rOm, tried to peg in, ramp wooden, rain just starting, like fooking ice, slid all the way to the flat and slammed hurt hip/back didn't put my arm out as it was the one I broke earlier this year just pulled it in. Helmet hit the bottom aswell :LolLolLolLol:
Jedi I dont hold my brake, just think it's a commitment thing, dont lean the bike enough. Will be in the Corby bowl tommorow trying to get these :daumenhoch:

Not at all.

The Smith drop in thing is just a test of committment.  It's dead easy to drop in once your peg is on. Rolling onto it is the tricky bit. I use it as a training tool for anyone I'm riding with.  The idea is that you overcome that fundamental fear of rolling over the coping and you're halfway to a 'proper' roll in.

Roll along the deck parallel to the coping, about 6" or so back. Turn into the ramp, over the coping, then immediately turn your bars back parallel again. And relax...................  :)

Don't go too fast   ;)

Bushwacked

the whole sliding thing seems to be a bit random to me.

I don't touch my brakes, but on my second peg stall video you clearly see me slide down the ramp as I come off the pegs.
3rd vid, same ramp, same postion, everything is the same and no sliding.

strange thing is that most people, esp. Gary72 last night, don't understand how my back tyre offers so much grip in some of the postitions i get it in, ie: i'm upright, my pegs are over the coping but it won't slide, usually cos the ramp is too mellow, but other times the grip just goes even on these mellow ramps, maybe my cheng shin tyres just aren't predictable enough.
