When did tech 4's replace tech 3's ?

Yes late 84, a lot of 85 complete's came with Tech 4s

I am restoring a Hutch XL25, and it has the 84 ABA champs sticker on the seat tube, so must be very late 84 /85.

So my next question!!

Mx1000 or MX900!?
