When did tech 4's replace tech 3's ?

whatever fits correctly, they are the same brake, just the differance is in the lenth of reach....
900's are much more rare though...

I was always under the impression that tech 4's came with MX901's and that Tech 3's were with the earlier MX900/1000's.

Obviously they would have been available seperately as soon as the 901's were launched though.

I have brought Nos sets of MX1000/900 which came with Tech 4s, unless someone switched the levers over before selling them  :-\

Its funny how tech 3's look so much better and are much more sought after than 4's, when BITD (early 85) the 4's wouldve been seen as the latest thing and more desirable.

Mind you thats the same of most things I guess...
