JE James, Bramhall Lane, Sheffield.

I've had about 8 or 9 bikes from there over the years and the shop is still there.

Supertuff Burner from a local bike shop, can't remember the name & it's been gone nearly 20 years now I think. Got a DP Firebird f/f a couple of months later from there as well.

Sale cycles in Chorlton , Manchester  :daumenhoch:

Had the choice between a Diamond back Viper/ SS , Mongoose Cali or MT Silverfox , went for the latter as I wanted something different to what all the lads had round our way . ( Looking at values now it probably wasn't the best choice  :D ).

Still got it too  :4_17_5:  :smitten:

Small one man band bike shop in Smallthorne (Stoke-on-Trent). Remember it like yesterday, wooden floor, rows of bikes and the smell of rubber.......arrrhhhh takes me back  :smitten: Shop was knocked down years ago  :'(
Remember going in with my dad wanting a Raleigh Extra Burner (about £60 if I remember right). My dad took one look at Burner and said there was no way he was buying that - so I ended up with an MT Racing Silverfox (about £150  lot of money bitd) - still have it to this day and its a minter  :smitten: To say I was chuffed would be an understatement. Thanks dad  :daumenhoch:

Any excuse for a pic  ::)

Second was a Mongoose Wirewheel which I still have (not the same bike but an exact OG survivor copy of it! ;)

Bought my Scorpion TX from TLB at Alpine Sports in Notting Hill Gate, late 79 -  November as it was for my birthday.  Cost a hundred and twenty quid, plus 15 quid for the Mongoose Gold stem and better grips (Grab-ons) IIRC.

Strongs cycles down in Boscombe Nr Bournemouth.
One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.
