Cheers guys

well I have never tried the hairdryer before.  Usually screwdriver down the side however these bars must not be scratched. So maybe chopstick or paint brush. I am very tempted to try the kettle and expansion method. So I think that will be my first choice.

Women are normally useless at getting things on however removing rubber is their hidden talent.

Woman   "And you can get that thing off."

Man    "No I can't"

Woman " There, and don't be trying that again."

 ;)

Cheers again for your innovations

I'm firmly in the hot water camp - fill sink with very hot water, put grip/barend in, create a gap between the bar and grip to let the hot water seep in, work the grip and pull off  :daumenhoch:
