A few questions my esteemed gurus of restoration:

How do you remove the pivot pin in Tech 3 levers?

Can you get replacement pins to reassemble?

How does the pressed-in metal tensioning screw mount on the caliper get removed?

I need to remove these bits before my brakes can get anodized...

I wouldn't try  :daumenhoch:

But I did read somewhere that they can anodize by covering the steel pins with some tape  :daumenhoch:

tbh i would not remove the alloy rivit from your tech III's.I've not known of anyone who has done this so i don't thing it would be a good idea imo.

You can always get CCA (I assume its Paul that you are sending them to ?) to try & 'cover up' the rivit head on both sides proir to annodising, but tbh the area is that small it would be a ballache to cover up.The best thing to do is to get the whole lever annodised and when you get them back cover up the lever just leaving the rivit visible and try some autosol to remove the annodise off the rivit head, but then again this would be very fiddly and awkward.

I have had a couple of sets of tech III's re-annodised and i've just left the rivit the colour as it is:

I was the same as above on my Tech 3's when they were done by Custom colour.

When they arrived back in the post i just masked off all the way around the pin and they used a tiny artists brush and oven prided the pin obviously being very careful not to get it anywhere else.

Finished with a polish of the pin and the job was a good'un.
