First restore

(1/3) > >>

curtispro:
OK this is my first restore and one that's close to my heart, I only ever had one proper BMX when I was a kid (the first one was a halfords turbo that I snapped in half) it was a 1984 Curtis Pro that was built up by faze 7 in Enfield, it was given to a family member when I had "grown out of it" . Fast forward 20 odd years and getting my 3 boys into this crazy sport and I have had it returned back to me.

it's all been stripped, frame, forks and bars sent off to hockleys, dels done the stickers, firebird done the pads, bits coming in the post daily, spend spend spend!!!!!

Now do I fork out on new wheels or get some mags on it?

Munnyella:
Whats wrong with the ones in the pic?

Peter J:
Resto the wheels.........

And how fooooookin long is that seat post

curtispro:
The seat post was a shocker! I think they may have damaged the original post then the took it upon themselves to use a length of 3/4 pipe, over tightening the clamp and snapped the top of the seat stay :wtf:, I had to cut a small slit it the tube and re-form it to fit a new post, it's a bit close to the welds, but it should be ok, as for the wheels, one has got a slight flat spot on it, may get some NOS hubs and spokes and have a go at rebuilding them :daumenhoch:
