Great story, good to read that you have got your old bike back  :daumenhoch:

Curtis are still making bikes so if the seat post tube if foobar, maybe worth getting in touch with them to see if they can cut the old one out and braze-weld a new one in.  Failing that, a member hehe, Sawzall does exceedingly good restoration work  ;).
