Tuff Wheel help!
Swivel:
Guys hi. I'm desperate to complete my 85 master but recently I bought a tuff from someone that put it in neat bleach without any grease protection and the alloy hubs are fooked :'( Totally shot with no way of polishing them up to save them.
I have another cracked tuff which has nice hubs, so I want to remove them and get them on to this one. Now what is the best way of removing these rivets? And can anyone do this for me? I know I need to get the right bolts which could be tricky to track down also, does anyone know the best place to get these and are there any about which doesn't have that X screw for the other end of the bolt? I'd prefer bolts either end, but ideally not the screw looking ones. This was the last thing I wanted to do but the hubs just cannot be saved :'(
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Matt :daumenhoch:

WHAT HAVE YOU TRIED ON THE HUBS REGARDING POLISHING?? oops caps on .. ???
MartyC:
THe hardest thing is to find a similar rivet or a machine shop/engineer that can re-revit them for you. Post up some pics of the hub as it may well be salvageble :daumenhoch:

Demmel to cut them right back as its pitted to hell :'( looks like the surface of the moon
