HELP!!! - why is my crank arm stuck!!??
StellaAtoiz:
Sid.
I was whacking the fcuk out of it with an 8lb sledge hammer against a piece of wood in the end and it was not moving an millimetre....I stopped as I thought I might damage the frame :D
Dark Diggler:
Heat...Alloy expands quicker than steel. Boiling water then crank extractor or neandatholstick and piece of wood :daumenhoch:
Hootski70:
Do not hit it with stuff jase , use the proper tool for the job . Invest in a crank puller but take it easy as alloy threads strip soooo easy, wind it in all the way then put some tention on it and pop it on the radiator . If it won't budge sent it tup north and we will hit it with a proper northern monkey wrench .
meticulous:
steel chisel and lump hamer works everytime.... damages the cranks mind... :-\
SE MARK:
Ive just brought a crank puller from Halfords for £9.99 . Needed to put an extension pole on the end of it though to tighten it more as i couldn't get enough force from the thing . Does work though and only a tenner.
