Headset & Forks Question - Advice desperately needed !!
Waxintaxin:
What space bannaannananananana said , it may work , but may be slightly different , resulting in loose or incorrect headset operation
, to take off , lightly tap with a hammer , working around the race , to put on new one , get a tube that fits over the steerer tube and then tap the new race on using the tube to apply pressure evenly around the new race.

if it is an old skool fork, thr steerer tube of a newskool fork fits nicely.
brass monkey!:
okay, think i'll built the headset 'as is', with the existing 'cone' and if it ain't right i'll try the new one from the box, one way or another it'll be right....
My brothers best mate works in a MTB shop, so i'll take it down there and use their tools,
thanks for the feedback !!
