Tis my mistake  ;D  i have been using caustic soda on the seat post - the bubbling might be a bit of washing up liquid on the pipe brush i used last after giving it a good clean out of all the sludge - acid oxide was for the rust parts i have been doing  ;)

Looks like it's wide enough to fit a hacksaw blade down the inside of the post now.  I'm sure people on here have got them out using that method.  Might be worth a shot...

Would it be easier to just replace the whole tube?
