Today my 2009 PK RACING RIPPER FRAME ARRIVED ! 5 DAYS TO COME FROM BRACKNELL BERKS TO GREENFORD MIDDX could have walked faster.

By the time I checked out on DansComp website it had gone from $9.95 to $44..... got away without paying taxes.

My Hoffman frame is with the post office awaiting collection and payment of the import charges. It cost me £238 shipped, was listed as a gift and now theyre (UK taxes) requesting £50 PLUS charges...............

Thats quite a bit more than 10%. Its more like 20% (current VAT rate) PLUS charges whatever they are. Still, im an expat so not too bothered. It means that ill get the last condor in the world (of this frame length) for the same as it cost retail in the UK when it wa available

You can always question these things if you wish. Perhaps they didn't swallow the gift thing and have estimated the value and therefore the duty amount? Ask the question - might be nice to know for the future.
