A used Odyssey EVO II brake caliper was delivered today. I now have no more excuses not to finish off my Sunday park build! ;D

Well I actually forgot I had a bike to finish and parts.

I refer to this one.

I sold my Metal Kizz rider ages ago, leaving me with two potential riders. One is the Fit I built, the other the S&M. There are a few things I was not happy with with that S&M, though. I don't like the 4pc, I don't like the fork* and I don't like the cranks**

I fited an Evo a while after that pic was taken.

So that is sorted. I now have -

Profile box crank copies. Brand new, painted in S&M yellow. I will do the clear coat tomorrow before I leave. I also got the proper gold bolts for it, and some Profile stickers.
Eastern 2pc full cro mo bars in white.
Yellow S&M classic grips.
Fluide full cro mo fork in white. Both are OEM paint so 2k. The cranks will also be getting 2k.
Gold Eastern headset.
Red Eastern BB.
Red Proper brake hanger.
Yellow clear pads.
Yellow Eclat seat and post.

The seat and post will be only for show. As loud as the bike is it will be proper S&M colours.

* I painted the fork with shit paint. As such it has chipped badly right down to the metal.
** They were extremely well used. The left arm has a huge dent in the back of the pedal boss. Obviously that does not affect function, but on a bike like this they need to be amazing.

I'm not getting involved again tbh. I am actually working on something completely different and have been for two months. Will show pics of that when it is done but it is not bike related.

I just really, really want to finish that S&M. I'm annoyed I left it as I am off on holiday on Sunday and could have taken it with.

Have a good break dude, then back on the tools.

I thought I wouldn’t buy another bmx, then a cool Minigoose frame set popped up with a few extras included.

I was going to clear coat the cranks today but tbh they are shiny enough. Knowing my luck I'd have had a reaction and ruined them.

Will get some pics in a bit.

OK well I did my best. Sadly it isn't to be for now.

So here are the cranks painted and stickered.

Funny thing is I must me psychic or something. When I got the bike out I noticed that the fork and cranks I painted were covered in cracks. Well, it appeared to be cracks, seems it was the paint I used. See, this was pre 2k stuff. So it was the crappy acrylic I had used for about 3 years. Some parts.

Kept it all very simple with the decals on the fork.

I had removed the decal from the bars as it was a plain black affair. Note, I was going to paint these parts green and complete my Sunday build. I bought another fork the same, no bars. I doubt I will ever finish that now but hey never say never. So yeah I was up late one night and decided to dig through my decal collection and then WHAM.

I love that.

So I thought if anything the cranks would fight me the most. Nope. I did burr the thread a bit but thankfully I finally bought a 3/8 UNF tap so I fixed that easily enough. What did fight me was the stem. I forgot to put grease on the bolts and one was stuck tight. I ended up shattering a socket allen driver and cutting my hand open on it. Bloody and annoyed I carried on.

What I did not foresee was how long the fork is, being a race fork. So it needed cutting. No problem, got out my guide and saw and then realised the blade was completely blunt and after 40 mins of sawing I got about 1/3 through it. Byh this time everything was covered in blood. So, I left it. Off on holiday tomorrow and had had enough by this point.

I will do it somewhen after I get back.
