Have you allowed the frame to rust then clearcoated or oiled over the top?
Or is it one of those rust-look paints?

I read a forum thread just yesterday about achieving a "rust" finish on a bike, whilst ensuring that the rust is halted in its tracks.
It's different.

Yeah, that's genuine rust.
I spilt oil on the frame trying to lube up that 3-speed - so I lubed up the whole frame.
The sheen's now gone, it look's pretty cool.
I wasn't trying to preserve it.

So what's this technique for halting rust in it's tracks?
