BrianP:
is that a sturmey archer 3-speed hub?

Wayne Ryder:
Rekka did some great adaptor cups for this, I had some Prolite 1"ers and a Hoffman stem to put onto a Schwinn Jay Miron frame.
It sounds easy and convenient, till you've got to find some of the damn things.

Howsabout the reverse? Isn't there a specific set of bearings you can use to put your 1 1/8" forks into an Old School 1" frame?

David:

Sachs 3-speed with coaster :daumenhoch:

the ghetto way of doing it is use two sets of 1" bearings, taken out of their cases (you can fit almost 2 sets in each cup, held in with grease) then use the other parts of the aheadset and clamp on stem

its fairly straightforward to do

v cool. i bet the 2nd gear works way better than 2nd gear on a sturmey archer hub, a la nuts on crossbar type grifter / chopper gearing... ;)
