Would that make a rapid but inconsistent popping noise like popcorn popping in the bag? I always though if a coil pack went it would sound more like a misfire?

Its running ok then ? just popping  noise ,idoes it get quicker the more you rev ? maybe top end noise tappets or something ? oil ok?

check its not the vavle by the air box.
mine used to make some funny noises by there but i was told it was nothing to worry about  ??? ???

Yea the noise isn't related to rpm, its just popping away on its own.  Its really weird. Im going to park it up for the weekend and see if I can get it looked at on monday. Now trying to make alternate plans to get down to MK for Sunday...
