Think Glynn means that by 1985 it had been worked out that aerospeeds were rubbish and no one was using them.
At that time most cruiser riders were the BIG guys,aerospeeds were pretty fragile.

Gotcha, the latter part does make sense although this will not get ridden hard by any stretch of the imagination so for me, visually it has to be right, possibly at the slight detriment of racing abilities.
