There was plenty of these bikes around Wigan mate given Alan was the sole importer for a number of the US manufacturers and we had three tracks within 30 minutes of each other.

Did a bit of work on these yesterday
BADDH:
I have found something tonight, I had some of my R bikes build up for a mate to look at and he noticed my two smaller framed bikes have quite a few differences in them :(.
He is right too they are different In terms of size and geometry.
My original one known as the 81 with a serial 112*** and no E or P stamping on the drop out is an 18" TT and has quite a significant angle towards the head stock.
My other one we think is an 81 with an earlier serial 050*** stamped on the BB, no E or P stamped on dropouts but the frame is 3/4" longer at just under 19" TT and has a different shape to the rear brake bridge area and the TT is much shallower angle to the other frame, but the frame and wheelbase is definitely 1" longer when sude by side. The other noticable difference is the tubing and BB is thicker guage material.
I have an 83 Pro here and that is 19.5" TT just a smidge longer then the 050 frameset.
What's your thoughts on this ? :(
